How do you usually get to work? Why did you decide to commute this way?
I previously drove alone due to work schedule and family obligations. Things changed in my household that allowed me to reassess the carpool as an option and I decided to change my schedule to carpool.
How long have you been using this commute option?
I started carpool commuting in December 2024
How far is your commute? How long does it take you each way?
My commute is about 25-30 min each way
What is your favorite thing about your commute?
I don’t have to drive all the time and can sit back and enjoy the ride.
Conversation in the morning with my teammate instead of road rage.
What is a challenge of your commute? How have your overcome that challenge?
Traffic is unpredictable especially on rainy & bad weather days, so I watch news to see how traffic is and try to shave some time off morning routine and possibly take more back roads if possible.
How does your commute help you save time and/or money?
We switch off on days of driving so I’m able to save a little in gas.
How does your employer help accommodate your commute?
Allowed me to change my schedule to be able to carpool.
Do you have any advice for someone looking to use a climate-friendly commute option?
Look at the options and see if that will help alleviate some commuter stress or save you money. You have to do what is best for you.
